The Quandary of freedom

Freedom of expression is today's talk of the town.Talk of the country would be much apt probably.Starting from DU's Ramjas College to the Central Board of Film Certification, everyone is burning in the fire of this expression.Without even knowing that what was the actual topic of debate/seminar people went and destroyed everything, bringing all the activities on a stand still mode.
WHY?
Because Umar Khalid was going to give a lecture on "Unveiling the state:Regions in conflict-the war in Adivasi areas".People not gave a damn about the topic. They were worried that Umar Khalid is going to spoke and the mission was not to let him do that.
And when students are doing street plays ,there scripts are being checked and if they contain anything "anti-national"the student union will not take any responsibility of there protection or prevention of any kind of violence or agitation. And if any body is trying to protest against this kind of dictatorship they are mocked, threatened and trolled on social media.
So what does it really depicts about the situation of our country? This shows that  we are in a kind of pathetic state where now everything is being dictated, checked, ridiculed.
Day before yesterday our Finance Minister was at London School of Economics, there he was questioned about this incident and he said that they have the right to disagree.well if this kind of activities are going to happen in universities,if the scholars and student are not allowed to do whatever they want to,then how they will grow?
And where is the freedom of expression then?
Coming to this point CBFC,under the chairmanship of Pahlaj Nihalani is under severe criticism. They have issues with everything from stories and songs.Recently a movie was advised to give cuts as it was 'lady oriented'.What exactly is the meaning of "lady oriented"?
We really want to know.
What do they want to prove by restricting everything? That our board is very "Sanskari'-like Gopi bahu?
Most of the movies which show the reality or are inspired from some real incidents are banned or censored. They need not to be shown to the people ,to audience.
Umar Khalid was about to speak on the conditions of tribal people in Bastar, but he was pevented.
Why don't people go there and experience the actual life of men and women there.Women are raped there by Security Personnel. They are asked to prove that they are feeding mothers when they plead not to be raped by them. And what it is the proof of their motherhood?
Sight of milk from there breast.
This is the situation in which women are living there.
Why these people don't go there and do something for those  who are living in a constant fear?
Why there was no violence and agitation in this matter from there side?Is not it is a thing from which they should disagree?
Coming back to CBFC,films show the same thing which happens in our society. They get inspired from this kind of incidents. If they would be banned how the people will know about there surroundings?
Ideas comes from the people and they are developed by the people.
We cannot create something from nothing.
A very big question mark is doing to and fro like a pendulum which will only stop when it will get its answers.
