the Jali Kati on JALLIKATTU

Since Jallikattu is making a lot of news and a getting high TRP rating than our very own Gopi Bahu and when our newspapers started publishing blasting articles on it, I was busted. And the limit reached to its end when I read an article over it in the Indian Express.

Being a traditional sport specially of ruler Tamil Nadu where people raise their livestock specifically for this events.Jallikattu is performed every year in the month of January on the occasion of Mattu Pongal, marking the new year.Bos Indicus breed of the bulls is used in this event.
Various organizations which are working for the protection of animals were against this sport. Why it was so?As animals are teased by using several pointed sticks and spears which is used in order to poke in their body,Chilli peppers are put in their private parts and in their eyes, pulling their tails sometimes beating them ,all in order to instigate them ,to prompt them to run for their life.
Only one man at a time is allowed to fight or capture the bull by its hump only.
So what face has this fight over Jallikattu has taken?Government is trying to ban the sport for the sake of protection of animals and state wants the ban to be removed for the sake of their age old tradition.State Government is giving permission for the performing of this event without the consent of  Supreme Court which has banned this sport.
Traditions are good to follow but not blindly on the cost of lives.Things are changing for better only. You are kind of teasing and hurting the animal in order to prove your bravery.Nah, its not right.
Strange is that no big leader is raising any voice against it.
