The day before yesterday her status read, "It was an end of love story.He had the love and she had the story." The next read  "He will call me at 12 am on my b'day.A wish that never got fulfilled."  After 12 hours it read- "He was a chapter in her book but she was merely a line in his." They are my friend's lovebirds.They come home when she's on a vacation.Caged,they flit from the perch to the 'gerua' pitcher that hangs in a corner.Content in each other's company,the pair spends the day chirruping in the parrot-green enclosure.                                    The powder-blue one with black strips on its wings is the male and the one with yellow and green hue his female companion.He's the first to wake up every morning,nudging his sweetheart to leave the pitcher for the perch.She takes her time,while he waits patiently.He swoops down to the container full of grains as she gazes at him lazily,hopefully lovingly.Aware that he's being watched,he revels in the attention.           The winter sun from the window works like magic.The green beauty decides to join him in a game of catch-me-if-you-can.Soon beaks lock and instinctively know it's time to look...

DEV DEEPAWALI OF VARANASI A very world famous festival celebrated specifically at the Ghats of Varanasi on the banks of river Ganga Akashdeeps one of the special things that happens during Dev Deepawali enormous amount of lighting is witnessed during the occasion. It is believed that Gods themselves visit on Dev Deepawali so all the preparation  is done to welcome them on the sacred land of temples and ghats. south-Indian people performing there rituals celebrated every year in the  months of November after 15 days of Deepawali considered as one of the very impoartant events here in Varanasi a huge amount of people come here from neighboring villages to witness this festival.The crowd starts growing after evening and sometimes it becomes very difficult to get out of there.A large number of people from southern India can be seen here on this occasion. GANGA AARTI,VARANASI performed on the banks of river Ganga,it is one of the most importanat ritual performed there ,every evening.  considered very sacred since ancient times as Varanasi is among one of the oldest cities of the world.  a lot of preparation is done all day for the aarti to be performed in the evening.Visiting Ghats during day time all the cleaning process could be easily witnessed. all those people  performing ihave their own special attires.It is one of the three places where this aarti takes place.Dashashwamedh Ghat is the most important one,where  all the special rituals are performed.Tourists from all over world can be found here to see this sacred aarti. these photographs were taken on Assi Ghat ,Varanasi.

Actual topic is- Different ways of wishing NEW YEAR of our relatives and friends..Ha..Ha.
